Online video now accounts for around half of all internet traffic and – with three billion searches a month – YouTube is the second largest online search engine.
Here are three reasons why short, shareable videos should be part of your marketing plans:
- Higher message retention. 60 per cent of people prefer watching video over reading text.
- More efficient communication. A one minute video is worth 1.8 million written words according to Dr. James McQuivey of Forrester Research.
- Increased engagement. In email marketing video can increase click-through rates by over 96 per cent while retail sites with video increase conversion by up to 30 per cent.
